We begin a new year. Remember to turn in your district convention tickets in January so I can take them to the convention in February. A chill is in the air, the library garden is ready to be put to sleep for winter but the fishing deck is finally finished! Lion Diane has been keeping us updated. She will be reporting at the board meeting that the deck, with the plaque, the walkway and the bench will soon reach completion.
It has been asked if we as a club can find a time in the coming weeks to pose for a picture on the deck .Maybe this up- coming weekend the 3rd or 4th Or the 12th?

Fishing Deck

The West Bend Lioness Lions are delighted that our Lion's Legacy Project has been completed. In celebration of Lions International's 100th birthday we worked with the West Bend Park & Rec Dept. to have a fishing deck built at Ridge Run Park. It is wheel chair accessible and a bench is available for caretakers. A grand opening will take place next Spring.

The West Bend Lioness Lions celebrated our 40th Anniversary of our charter on Wednesday, October 18th. Guests that night were DG Glen Moegenburg and his wife, Lion Jenifer, and Zone Chairman, Michelle Tomaszewski. We also be honored our first two Lioness Lion Girls of the Month for this school year.
Our club chartered as a Lioness Club on October 19, 1977 and rechartered as a Lioness Lions Club on May 23, 2004.

Fall has finally arrived! With it comes the beginning of the nut sales, the building of the long awaited fishing deck, and the first Region meeting of our reorganized zones. Change is in the air.

Lion Angie Thornburg has graciously set up the nut sale dates for the year. Sign-up sheets will be at the up- coming October meetings for members to sign up.

The fishing deck should be being built in the month of October I will keep you up dated as I receive information.
