February News Letter 2013

February is here and so is our District Convention (15-17th) in Oconomowoc. If you’ve never attended consider going. Some of our club members are going on Saturday and car pooling could probably be arranged. Please return your raffle tickets to me by the 13th so I can get them to the convention.

In January we had a busy dinner meeting with Lioness girls, a visit from our zone Chair, Chuck Steinmetz and a program from Interfaith Caregivers. During our dinner meeting in February we will be able to bring ideas back from convention that we can share with everyone.

January News Letter

I hope you all are finding peace during this holiday time of year. Each and every one of you are special or you wouldn’t be Lioness-Lions. Keep up the good work.
The Christmas party was a success and gave us much time to socialize and have fun. We told many stories and all involved ourselves in pass the gift to the left or the right. I hope in the future we can participate in more social activities of this type.
We will begin our training this week for our service project for the “Circle of Friends Shoppe”. If you have not been contacted please give me a call.

Please where your vest’s so we can get a group picture. Maybe we can even get the paper to put it in.

October News Letter

Welcome to fall and the beautiful colors. We started the month of September off with a
Zone meeting in Hartford. I introduced a possible zone project to help Joanna Castro of
West Bend. We will find out in November if it will fly. If not I have heard that the Lions
of West Bend might at least help us fund software and a web cam for her. We were able
to meet Joanna at our last board meeting.

August News Letter

It was so good to see many of you in attendance, at our wine tasting in Port Washington, in July. As usual, club members outdid themselves with the snacks. The wine wasn’t bad either.

July News Letter

The June meeting was held in the Grand Ballroom. It was attended by the West Bend Lioness/Lions and Lions Club. New officers of both clubs were installed by zone chairman, Lion Chuck Steinmetz. Our scholarship recipient for East ,Shelby Larsen, was recognized and presented with a check. West’s recipient, Amanda Hopner received her scholarship award and check at a different time. Awards were presented and raffle prizes were given. Beautiful seasonal flowers accented the tables and were sought out as raffle prizes. Sign-ups for July’s activities were also passed around.
