April News Letter

The March meeting was attended by 12 members and 15 guests. Two West Bend East L/L girls of the month. Two West Bend West L/L girls of the month and their families. We are always honored to hear about their many achievements.

March News Letter

Feb 12th was Celebrate Families. We did vision screening and participated in the scavenger hunt cards. 53 children were screened and 2 were referred for a follow up eye doctor visit. Thanks to Irene Welzien, Michelle Stanisch, Margie Klumb, Angie Thornburg, Mary Lou Desrosier, Marianna Pulda, Julie Pulda, Gerhild Wicker, and Robin Schmitt for helping to make it a success.

The Feb. meeting was attended by 14 members and one guest. The guest was Lion Ken Weber. He spoke about Leader dog and was very informative. Thank you Lion Ken.

February News Letter

The January meeting was well attended. We also had Lion zone chair Chuck Steinmetz and West Bend Lioness girls from East and West both Dec. and Jan. as our guests.

The sign - up sheet for Celebrate Families on Sun. Feb. 12th went around. Thank you for all who volunteered. It looks like we will be doing vision screening from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Till then we will play the stick the nose on the lion game, and hand out literature. This event is at the Washington County Fair Park Pavilion.

January News Letter

The December Christmas party was attended by 17 members and one guest of L/L Marianne Pulda, Diana Miller. She was also a co-chef with Marianne in preparing our awesome meal. HUGE thank you for all your hard work, everything was delicious.

Thank you to L/L Bronwyn for hosting and welcoming us into your home. I believe we all had a joyful time. Thank you to L/L Margie Klumb for the punch and L/L Mary Lou Desrosier for the salad. L/L Barb Weyer thank you for the entertaining game.

Celebrate Families 2012

Let's celebrate families! Bring your family to our Twenty-first Annual Celebrate Families on February 12, 2012 at Washington County Fair Park from 11 am to 4 pm. The free event marks the start of Celebrate Families week. There will be entertainment on two stages, activities for teens including a game room, free raffles, and a sporting autograph session.

December News Letter 2011

The November meeting was attended by 11 members, 3 Lioness girls, 2 Nov. and 1 Oct and their guests.

Thank you to all members who brought your items for the troops. They were taken to the District meeting and given to the Sussex club who will be shipping them out to the soldiers.

November was a busy nut sale month and so will December be. try to carry your order forms with you so that you are prepared to take orders if you are asked.

Hello Lioness/Lions members,

The Sept. meeting was attended by 15 members and one guest. Richard Klumb was our speaker. He talked to us about habitat for Humanity. It was very informative. We learned about the history of Habitat and the specifics of our county chapter.

We talked about the new nut sale sheets and prices which we will be starting to sell in October.

September News Letter 2011

Hello Lioness/Lions members,

Thanks to the social committees of both clubs for a lovely picnic. This year it was at the Threshold's outside pavilion, among the beautiful gardens. It was pleasant and relaxing, a nice break during a hectic summer schedule. The food was outstanding!!

Thank you to all members of both clubs for completing another successful German Fest. The weather was great but the profits remain about the same. A full report will be available at the regular September meeting.

August News Letter 2011

Hello Lioness/Lion members,

A big THANK YOU to L/L Mike Desrosier for organizing our July outing. Those in attendance had a great time. We all felt bad that Mike was unable to attend. Some of the wines that were sampled will be served at the August picnic.

Thanks to Lion Michelle T. for ordering the nice shirts for the corn stand. It looked nice for us to be in uniform like a team! The yellow color was just HAPPY! Remember to pay L/L Bronwyn your $10.00 A.S.A.P.

Due's are also payable this month to L/L Bronwyn, $75.50 for the year, or $37.75 for half year.

July News Letter 2011

Hello Lioness/Lion members,

I hope everyone had a fun, safe and relaxing 4th of July Holiday. Welcome to a new year in Lionism, together we will move our club forward in service to our community.
Thank you to Michelle Tomasewski for all your hard work on the successful installation night.
Our summer outing will be at the Vines to Cellar winery in Port Washington. We will meet at the Samaritan parking lot at 5:30 P.M. SHARP! From there we will car pool to Port. Suggestions for appetizers are:
