September 2019 Newsletter

Welcome back! I hope a good summer was enjoyed by all!

There have been a few changes to the club over the summer. I received a letter from Nancy. She asked us to forgive her, but due to work commitments and some personal goals, she feels the need to drop out of the club at this time. It made me very sad. I offered many options to her, but she feels this is the right thing for her at this time. I did not want to pressure her because I hope she will return to the club when she is able.

I as 1st Vice-President
have assumed the president position. Our awesome Lion Irene Welzien has stepped up to take the 1st vice president position. Due to an autumn surgery Lion Bronwyn and Lion Diane will also be doing some title switching. A new booklet page with these corrections will be given out at the September board and dinner meetings.

At the September meeting we will be back at the Top of the Ridge. With this new space also comes a new dinner price. That price will be $14.00 per person. We have not had a price increase to dinners in about the last 10 years, so I hope this will be manageable for everyone.

Lion Irene would like all members to think “School is starting” wear something red or something with apples or she may have to collect fines.
